If you are manufacturing flexible or rigid urethane parts which, will be exposed to long term (UV) Ultraviolet Radiation we recommend the use of a protective topcoat. If you are trying to achieve a specific part color or a very light color (white or metallic) you must top coat the urethane surface.

We offer two UV protective coating systems, which can be used to topcoat any of our rigid or flexible casting products. Top coating allows you to custom color (White, Pearl or Metallic) or to restore the appearance of worn or weathered urethane surfaces. We offer 12 standard color pigments which can be used with TopCoat 6™ or TopCoat 9™ (See page 3 Chart Speedliner® standard colors). You may also use our TopCoats with standard automotive color pigments available from your local automotive paint store. All TopCoats are shipped clear; colorants are packaged separately and added at time of use.

TopCoat 6™ is used to topcoat rigid urethanes with a hardness above 90 shore A. It is also recommended for use over Speedliner® and other more rigid casting products when a white color or additional UV stability is required. The Speedliner® 12-standard colors are UV stable and do not require top coating.

TopCoat 9™ is used to topcoat flexible urethanes with hardness below 90 shore A but no softer than 55 shore A and is recommended for use over all of our soft casting and softer TrueCast™ products when a specific color or additional UV stability is required.

All CrystalCast™ products (see catalogue page 8) offer good UV stability. If you require a colored UV stable casting and do not wish to topcoat, you may color one of our CrystalCast™ clear casting products. The clear casting products are more costly but offer excellent durability and color retention. Review the CrystalCast™ product charts to find the appropriate hardness and cure time for your application.

TrueKote™ CS-100 is a protective hand applied coating for rope and closed cell flexible foam. It provides a slow 45-minute working life and may also be used as a casting product. It contains no M.O.C.A. or TDI. TrueKote™ protects rope rigging against damage from cuts and abrasion. Over flexible foam it provides a durable play sur face which resists cuts and punctures. TrueKote™ is also used for encapsulating or potting fittings and eyes used in marine rope riggings.

TrueKote™ CS-100FR (Fire Rated) provides the same physical properties and cure times as the original TrueKote CS-100 in a fire tested version. Applied with aggregate it is formulated as a nonskid fire retardant coating for marine floor and deck surfaces. Test method, NT Fire 007-NS-INSTA 414, approved, Norwegian Fire Research Laboratory. Compression tested to 10,000 psi, ASTM D575-91, test method B. Dielectric Testing certified to 10,000 VAC, 25,000 VDC, testing methodology ASTM D149.

TrueKote™ CS-150S is a two component low VOC urethane coating designed for application over wood metal and other urethane surfaces. It provides excellent impact and abrasion resistance on metal surfaces and can be sprayed by pressure pot or airless spraying equipment. TrueKote™ CS-150S is used on industrial equipment applications and in amusement parks where a smooth flexible, high durability abrasion resistant coating is required.

Speedliner® 2001 is a performance high build urethane protective coating. It is formulated to provide good tear strength and provides a smooth self leveling finish. Speedliner® 2001 is a low odor, nonflammable product containing no VOC (solvent). Speedliner® 2001 becomes thick after mixing, allowing for heavy product application onto vertical surfaces.

Speedliner® 2001 can be applied up to 1/8 inch on vertical surfaces without sagging or running. It was created for coating metal floor pan areas of jeeps and industrial equipment. It can also be used on wood, concrete, flexible foam and rigid EPS foam. Speedliner® 2001 provides a chemical and abrasion resistant work/walk surface Ideal for high traffic areas. This product must be applied by brush or hand roller because of its high viscosity. For mixing we recommend using an electric drill with mixing attachment. Over painted metal surfaces, wood or concrete we recommend using our Primer 450™ adhesion promoter. Sanding painted metal surfaces prior to Primer 450™ application improves bonding strength of primer. If you are coating bare metal surfaces our Primer 350™ acid etching primer must be applied before the Primer 450™. Speedliner® 2001 provides 1-hour working life and is available in 12 colors (see Speedliner® colors page 3).

UraSeal™ is a low cost easy application two component urethane used for coating, sealing and adhesive applications. It is an odorless liquid containing no VOC. UraSeal™ can be mixed by hand stirring, electric drill or automated pumping equipment. UraSeal™ is used as a protective coating over wood, concrete and metal surfaces. It protects metal surfaces from acids, alkalis, salts and moisture. On concrete and masonry surfaces UraSeal™ repairs leaking concrete decks and provides an impact absorbent rubber walk sur face. Use Primer™ 200 for concrete applications. As an adhesive, it resists cracking at extremely low temperature. UraSeal is also used as a flexible fuel resistant sealant to fill expansion joints and cracks in airport runways. Other uses include sealing leaking concrete decks, wire pressure switching devices (traffic loops) in road bed for traffic signal loops, cold process roof repair system for flat or concrete roofs, fuel resistant concrete crack and expansion joint sealant, rubber coating for Styrofoam (E.P.S.) parts.
